Scope
This policy covers all language versions of the VPNFN website (vpnfn.com) and user panel, along with the Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux clients. VPNFN provides cross-border network acceleration across 120+ countries and 180+ routes, letting subscribers reach overseas sites and services over international routes.
Data handling on third-party sites that users reach through the service is governed by those sites' own privacy policies and falls outside the scope of this policy.
What data is collected and why
Signup only asks for a username and password — no email address required. Four categories of data are stored in the system:
- Account data: username, encrypted password hash, registration date, and subscription status, used for login verification, activating subscriptions, and after-sales checks;
- Order and payment records: order number, plan type, amount, payment channel, and payment result, used to activate and renew subscriptions, process refunds, and handle payment disputes;
- Visit statistics: aggregated information such as page views, referral sources, browser, and device type, used to judge whether content is effective and pages load correctly;
- Ticket content: problem descriptions and screenshots submitted by users, used to diagnose issues and reply.
VPNFN does not require real-name information and does not collect ID documents, home addresses, or corporate entity details.
Logging policy: no browsing activity logs
No-logs is a core VPNFN policy: it does not record which websites users visit or which pages they open; it does not log DNS query contents; and it does not keep connection records that could be traced back to an individual user's browsing behavior.
To keep routes available and troubleshoot faults, the system retains only operational metrics unrelated to browsing behavior, such as whether a given international route is online, aggregate bandwidth usage, and error counts. These metrics are used to decide whether a route needs more capacity or replacement, and are not linked to what any specific user accessed.
No-logs is a service policy: VPNFN does not actively record or correlate users' browsing behavior, and does not sell or share that data.
Cookies and local storage
The website and user panel use a small number of cookies and browser local storage entries, for three purposes only:
- Language preference: remembers the language a user selected, so the next visit opens directly in that language version;
- Login state: the user panel stores login credentials in local storage to avoid repeated sign-ins; they expire after logging out or clearing browser data;
- Basic statistics: anonymized visit statistics, used to understand page views and referral sources.
No third-party advertising cookies are used, and no cross-site behavior tracking takes place. Users can clear cookies and local storage in their browser settings; doing so means language preference and login state must be set again, with no other effect on functionality.
Payments are handled by third parties
Subscription fees are paid through third-party payment channels; Alipay, WeChat, and USDT are currently supported. During payment, sensitive details such as account balance, payment password, and bank card information are handled by the payment channel itself — VPNFN neither accesses nor stores them. What VPNFN receives from the payment channel is only the payment result and order number for a given order, used to activate or renew a subscription.
USDT payments go through on-chain transfers; the transfer address and amount are recorded on the public blockchain ledger. This information is publicly visible and outside VPNFN's control.
Data retention, deletion, and policy updates
Retention periods for each type of data are as follows:
- Account data: kept while the subscription is active and deleted after the account is closed;
- Order and payment records: kept for the period required for financial and compliance purposes, then deleted or anonymized;
- Visit statistics: kept in aggregate form and not linked to any specific account;
- Ticket content: kept for a period after the issue is resolved so similar cases can be reviewed, then deleted.
Users can submit an account deletion request from the user panel, or use the panel's ticket entry to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data. After receiving a request, VPNFN verifies account ownership before proceeding and replies through the same channel. Completed order records cannot be deleted immediately because of financial requirements and are cleared once the retention period ends.
This policy may be updated as the service changes. Updated versions are published on this page, and the last-updated date at the top of the page is revised at the same time. Significant changes to the scope of data collection or how data is used will be flagged in the user panel. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated policy; general terms covering accounts and subscriptions are in the Terms of Service.
